The Domestic and Emotional Abuse Project was officially launched in March 2020 and is funded by Telford &Wrekin Council. The service model is strongly based on partnership working and capacity building.
The aims of the project are as follows:
- Working in partnership with the local community and partner organisations to raise awareness of the incidents and effects of domestic, emotional and financial abuse in Telford and Wrekin
- Develop and deliver a suite of specialist domestic and emotional abuse training courses, workshops and talks to a cross section of partner organisations and community groups across Telford and Wrekin
- Bring together a range of specialist expertise with the aim of creating a ‘knowledge commons’ on the wider issues relating to domestic and emotional abuse
- Develop a range of domestic and emotional abuse related information resources, self-help booklets and practitioner toolkits.
