Citizens Advice Telford & the Wrekin

Citizens Advice would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Terry, Steph and all staff members of the Sutton Hill Community Centre, better known as Hub-on-the-Hill for providing us and a warm space so we could assist members of the public who required specific and general advice particularly around debt issues. 

We were pleased to be joined by an enforcement officer from Telford and Wrekin Council who was on hand to assist people with any concerns they may have about their council tax. 

People who attended were supported with a number of issues, which covered benefits, TV licensing; water; rent arrears and council tax debts. The seamless transition of referring people with council tax queries immediately for support was welcomed by those who attended.

It was our pleasure to assist a lovely lady in maximising her income by recognising she was not claiming her full benefit entitlement this will have a positive cascading affect on her financial situation and hopefully bring lots of Christmas Cheer 🎄.

Last, but certainly not least, we were offered a free bowl of soup and a bread roll, which was delicious 😋. Oh, and some fodder for a very special Reindeer due to visit on Christmas Eve 🦌 😉
